Brian Remnant, of Romney Marsh MES, was last year's winner in Southport. He has previously finished second twice and third once. This year he was in the Previous Winners competition. This is a modified version of this popular locomotive with a larger firebox (32sq.ins), steel boiler with copper tubes, outside Bremme valve gear and he relies entirely on injectors for boiler feed!!
