Having spent many happy but apprehensive hours behind Maise trying to maintain a balancing act between steam pressure and water I decided to go up in size for a hopefully more relaxed life. I wanted outside gear and something which would go in the back of an estate car, so the Dock Tank fitted the bill. Not only this but it had the added advantage of being a Great Western engine and was built in Bristol.
