The Coffee Pot

This is a Dewinton 'coffee pot" called George Henry. It is the member's design and as near the original as possible. It worked in the slate quarries at Penryn, Bethesda in 1877. (The full story can be found at http:// www.cmaceke.bravepages.com)
Briefly it has loco link Stephenson's valve gear connecting direct to an axle-cum-crankshaft and suspension on rear axle only. The firehole door is a trapdoor in the floor feeding a shute.
